Happy Halloween (or Happy Cute Kids and Pets in Costumes Day!)

And a little dose of Throw-Back Thursday for everyone (guest feature: my dad's rad 80's 'stache!). Halloween was one of my favorite holidays as a kid because I got to dress up in something “pretty” (always something pretty, never scary or gory) and Halloween is 4 days after my birthday. Presents and candy? What more could a kid ask for?

I think I was 5 in this picture and that year I went as Little Bo Peep. The dress I wore as a flower girl in a wedding (yeah, it was the 80’s, what do you expect?) and I won the costume contest at my dance studio that year! The prize? A $2 bill. My parents still have it J

What’s everyone doing for Halloween this year? I think H and I are heading to my parents house to help give out candy to the kiddos (since we live in an apartment complex we don’t get trick or treaters). Oh and help wrangle Casey from loving up on all the kiddos…so who is Casey? My parent’s replacement for me j/k. Casey is a 2-year-old shih tzu whom I also refer to as my furry brother (you know, to differentiate him from my human brother).

He goes by many names and is really me in doggy form, personality-wise. Mr. Cuteness, Sir Bites-a-Lot (he’s a chewer), Mr. Snorts-a-Lot (he makes these funny little snorts and huffing noises when he’s displeased with your lack of attention or lack of not giving him whatever you’re eating), Mr. Sniffers (you literally can see his nose sniffing everything and it’s kind of the cutest thing ever). Here’s a few furry fun pics from last Halloween. He will be Super Casey again this year, if my Mom can manage to get him into his costume again. He does not like to be groomed, bathed, dressed, NOTHING. Enjoy and Happy Halloween everyone!
